New Years 2014

So just over a week and a half ago I went to a Festival called La De Da, located in Martinborough just outside of Wellington. At first I wasn't too sure how this was going to go since I am not much of a camper to be completely honest with you. i wouldn't call myself a diva but lets just say I cant go without my make up, hair straightener or even an electricity plug for that matter for very long periods of time.. however it was some of the most fun I have had in a long time! I spent it with friends I had known for years as well as friends I hadn't and I'm so glad I made the decision in going, nevertheless I was very excited to get home (trust me, NEVER take a 12 hour bus ride) We did fly down which only took about 45 minutes and we thought it would be an 'adventure' to do the bus ride, let me tell you it wasn't because during those almost 12 hours I got under 2 hours sleep! But I wont let that minor let down of the trip overshadow all the memories I made there :) I am posting a few photo's down below for you all to see! I cannot take credit for these photo's I will admit I have stolen all of them from my friends and the official facebook site because believe it or not all the photo's I took turned out blurry :(

Summer Days

Today I went on a lil shopping adventure with one of my good friends Fari and below are pictures of our day, what we bought, ate etc :)

lunch at the lovely country club (i know you're judging me for going here all the time) for lunch I had an open chicken sandwich which consisted of chicken, green bean slaw and avocado, and to drink I had the "mixed berry collins" which has soda, chambord, raspberries and lemon it it! Fari had the Fish burger and passionfruit fizz to drink which is also one of my faves

made a purchase at sass and bide today, only a plain white tee which is pictured above (changed into it as the clothes i originally wore ended up being far too hot) lets just say my mum wasn't pleased at how much i spent on something so plain but hey its cute and i love it.

The greatest gift of all..receiving packages in the mail!

Ok, this post I am excited about. Just over a week ago I ordered a Triangl bikini (only had to ask mum twice lol) and had such trouble choosing which color because they are all so spectacular, but I ended up choosing Miami Mint-as I think it goes with either pale or tanned skin. My skin color is fairly light but I often get spray tans/use bottled tan or lay out in the sun so I thought this color would be the best choice, and I was right! I was actually having a shitty day up until there was a knock at the door, i've wanted this bikini for so long so having it arrive made my day!

The material is a thick neoprene material, like a wetsuit, which is comfy and wont end up sagging like other bikini's often do! I've yet to try mine out in the water yet but I will most definitely sometime this summer. The bikini also comes in a neoprene bag which is really handy and very cool. I recommend looking at the sizing chart before buying as they don't have cup sizes, just small, medium and large (same goes for bottoms) I ended up getting medium bikini bottoms, and a large bikini top as a I have quite big boobs so I would advise other people that also have bigger boobs to do the same, and definitely be confident in your sizing as it would be a shame to have to send it back and wait longer! The bottoms are quite low rise as opposed to other bikini bottoms so just keep that in mind.It  is very comfortable I just love it so much I could wear it forever. I know many people have them but I don't really care, if I like something I'll wear it!

Christmas Celebrations

Merry Christmas everyone! it has been such a busy week for me as I have attended 3 family christmas parties in the last few days which means lots of food, presents, and family! Christmas is my favorite time of year, the energy around everybody is just so positive and I love being able to catch up with those family members that I'm not able to see that often. I am most definitely sick of all the food by now, don't get me wrong I do love it, but.there.is.just.so.much!! I find myself needing to have little naps after consuming all the wonderful food (dessert is my favorite)
Speaking of dessert, every year as a Danish tradition on Christmas Eve everyone from my dads side of the family gets together and celebrates. This includes the infamous almond pudding that I am absolutely obsessed with! Part of the almond pudding tradition is to put a whole almond in the bowl of the desset and whoever finds the almond wins a present and receives good luck for the upcoming new year! I am very fortunate to have won it two years in a row now and I guess I can say I really have had great luck.

my brother is officially the coolest person ever. Since I got tickets from my parents to a new years music festival (La De Da) for christmas and wouldn't have anything big to open on the actual day he said he would buy me presents! He is the sweetest ever and always spoils me and I feel so fortunate. He got me Chanel CC cream which I have to say is amazing, it has the best coverage, its lighter than a foundation but heavier than a tinted moisturizer, perfect for me since my skin is fairly sensitive and i'm lucky enough to have pretty clear skin so  don't need excessive coverage.
As well as the CC Cream he also got me the Coco mademoiselle perfume set that comes with the perfume, shower gel and body lotion. All three smell so divine I literally drench myself in it..probably not the best idea since I want it to last..And as well as that the lady from Chanel threw in  a few samples of their products since she always serves us when were there so that included Chanel mascara, eye make up remover, cleansing water, face wash and a mini coco mademoiselle bottle. I think this is by far one of my most favorite presents I have ever received.

 In our family we have another tradition which is to do secret santa
and every year we each get a different person who has to buy us a gift. This year I got given the sweetest diary from Kikki K. It is an absolute essential for me since I am starting university next year so
I think its pretty beneficial as I want to keep on top of assignments and dates and such. It comes with cute stickers as well! I forgot to take a picture of the actual diary(its white with a blue and pink number 14) but in the pictures shown is a little note card popped in the book cover that reads "2014 this is your year" and on the back of it has a cute little message! I thought this gift was so thoughtful of the person who gave it to me. Along with this I also got a cheeky pair of underwear (didn't take a picture) which are red and read on the back of them "I'm the reason Santa has a naughty list"

 This wasn't actually a christmas present, I just
asked my brother to buy it for me since he was
near the only shop that actually sells nylon
magazines that are true to their release date
(seriously I go into my local bookstore and the
nylon's there are from like two months ago) and
I desperately wanted this one as it had Demi on it.
If you know me personally or have followed me
on tumblr for a decent amount of time you will
know that I am avid fan of Demi Lovato. I think she is wonderful and very inspirational and such a
positive role model. She also has the best laugh
I have ever heard in my entire life.

Lastly, one of my most best smelling gifts. I stated
in my wish list not too long ago that I wanted this
candle and I got it! My mother knows me too well. It's also the larger size which made me even happier because it will last longer. It is passionfruit and lime flavored and hands down the best candle I have ever smelt. Aside from whats pictured, I also got a few other little presents for christmas as well as cash but I didn't want post them all or it'd be a pretty long post, so yeah! I am extremely excited for new years as I am going away with some of my best friends and seeing Flume and ASAP Rocky live to name a few..
This year has been one of the best years of my life to date despite the downs that have occurred so heres hoping to end it on a high note :)

Britomart Country Club

Just thought I would do a quick update of something I wanted to share with you guys.
Below, I have a collaboration of pictures of my drinks and food from my beloved Britomart Country Club. This is probably my favorite place to eat out at, although I order the same thing every time (can you guess, fried chicken and chips) and sometimes I'll also order the calamari. It's not just the food that I love about BCC, its the whole atmosphere, the cute garden tables, fake grass and flowers in vases make it the perfect outdoor setting, and to my advantage every time I go there the weather seems to be beautiful! Its easy to get to, meet up at with friends and has only just recently become very popular, which I'm not gonna lie, have been a bit upset about as I thought I could keep it my favorite secret place to go. The BCC is also close to Milse, a dessert shop which I adore (and again, has become increasingly popular, and yes I am sad about that too) So I will be sure to make a post on Milse in the near future :)

Sun, Sea, and Fresh Air.

Summer is just beginning and on Sunday Tash and I decided to take advantage of the great weather. We have a tradition that involves going into town to find cute little places to eat and order fried chicken and fries (seriously we order it everytime) We decided to go and have lunch at a place called Miss Clawdy which is a popular souther american styled eatery. For dessert, we picked gelato and took some fun pics aswell as getting some shopping done, photo's down below!

first off Tash and I took a stroll down in Silo Park and looked at the markets, we thought these bright red containers would be cool to take photo's infront of as we always like taking pictures with things that could double as a funky background for our photo's.

Franklin Road Christmas Lights

Every year Franklin road in Ponsonby, has a tradition to decorate their houses with christmas lights and compete to see who has the best decorations! It has been going on for years and I try to visit almost every year. The street is full of little children in pyjamas and couples holding hands, the atmosphere is so amazing and really gets you into the Christmas spirit. The houses on Franklin Road are dripping with streams of white, purple red and green lights, santa's sleighs are placed on roofs, people gather to sing christmas carols, and one family even wrapped their house up like a present! I had such a lovely time last night so I've decided to share a few photo's with you. I have only just realized I seem to be making a theme with Christmas posts so my next post will be something completely different :)
