Weekend Antics

Hello everyone!
I apologize for the lack of posting, There never seems to be enough hours in the day anymore, I'm either at University, writing assignments, or if I'm not doing that I'm usually procrastinating and putting off everything thats important. I wish I was able to find more time to blog and go out and do things, and I know me talking about Uni gets boring but it is literally taking over my life! Anyway lets skip the irrelevant stuff and get on to what I'd rather be doing, which is writing this blog post. Thankfully, its holidays coming up soon so I will most definitely be able to post more!

And also, some more exciting news is that I'm going back to Hawaii later this year! I was going to go to L.A as it's been around 8 years since I went last but my brother was persistent in not wanting to go so I just decided i'd put it off a bit longer and hopefully go with a friend or my mum in a year or two when I have time and money. But yes. Hawaii is like my second home I absolutely love it, everyone is so friendly, the weather is always spectacular and it has my two favorite things- the beach and shopping! It will be my 3rd time going back to Honolulu and I'm already planning everything. I don't have exact dates set yet but in around 4/5 months or so I will probably go and will be absolutely sure to do a huge post on it as I love documenting everything especially holidays.

Again off topic..back to my post. Yesterday I caught up with one of my best friends Tash and we went into town for lunch (more specifically french fries to cure our horrible hangovers) and to take photos for our blogs, and our conjoint blog: thefridaycult, which after months we are still yet to post much on. I didn't end up taking a substantial amount of photos and this post is definitely more text than it is pictures, but bare with me, there shall be more! I just felt like I owed a bit of an update.. lets get to it then.

This is my sad attempt at an OOTD photo. I barely take full length photo's as I suck at them and there wasn't much point as my bag literally covers everything, but it's ok the outfit wasn't majorly special. As I wasn't feeling on top form i just threw on this which consisted on black skinnies, a black high neck singlet, a Karen Walker "Runaway" necklace, Celine Bag and Chelsea booties. I'm going to state the obvious and point out that I'm wearing all black. It's my favorite color and I incorporate a lot of it in my wardrobe but don't actually think I've put together a whole outfit that was just black before, so I kinda felt a bit self conscious. It ended up being a hot day so I was left roasting and I just hope people don't think of black as a depressive color or if that was the look I was intending to go for, as I'm usually happy and positive!

Tash and I didn't go for a huge meal, we shared fries, chicken pieces and a glass of lemon, lime and bitters, you know the usual. I can't remember the name of the place but it wasn't far from Silo Park and the view of the sea was great, sadly I forgot to take pictures of that.

This was taken at Silo Park, As you can see, I tied a flannel around my waist later on because my self consciousness got the best of me and I thought it pulled the outfit together a lil more. I like this photo because it basically describes Tash and I's friendship in a nutshell: clothes, Silo Park and taking photos of each other.

To end tonights post I thought I would leave you a quote and some food for thought. Pretty sure I have previously mentioned this book in one of my other posts (its called Staying Strong 365 days a year) and I swear by it. Its nice to wake up and read something inspiring and having a daily goal to stick by to, or just giving you something to think about. I thought this was quite relevant to my, and a lot of other teenage girls lives as we often focus so much on our flaws and our mistakes that we don't realize that flaws can be beautiful too. They're what stitches us together and make us unique. We really should take pride in who we are and the experiences that shape us into what we are today. I don't mean to get all sappy and deep but this particular passage stuck with me throughout the day.
