This Months Inspiration!

Hello All,

Its been a while but I have finally found the inspiration to write something I've recently become passionate about!  Although  this post will be different from my others, I hope it will inspire you to do the same/ take action towards becoming a better you.

I know, I know You're thinking that the whole "new you" thing is apart of the "new year, new me!" fad aka the thing everyone vows to do about a week before and after new years. I will admit to having been one of those people myself. I would've always had lists folded into the corners of my wallet or hidden away in the depths of my bedside drawers, notes with scrawled on things I wanted to achieve and improve on, yet never to be seen again..or have been dug up about 3 years later.

I found myself in a pattern of doing this every year and decided that my "to do" lists shall not expire after the month of january, but shall be an option to improve on throughout the year, as well as adding things, and crossing off things! I will admit that I have barely ever achieved all, if not many of my resolutions of last year and decided to completely trash the idea of making a list for 2014. However I have recently gained a new found love of fruits and vegetables, smoothies, juices and all that jazz. Nope, I'm not becoming vegan (which seems to be the new vegetarian these days) although those around me, mostly on tumblr have inspired me to do a fair bit of research or raw eating and cutting out bad foods of my diet. (I'm not becoming vegan or vegetarian just as a side note, as much as I would love to I just adore chicken far too much)

I have never been a huge fruit eater, right from when I was little my mother would have to force me or hide things in my food because I despised them that much. I have gotten better at eating them as I got older but it still wasn't enough. I ate far more processed foods than I did fresh, and I didn't realize just how much it affected me until I recently decided to change my diet.

I am (or was) the bread queen. I love love love bread. I love croissants and pastries now and then etc. But bread makes me tired, it makes me sluggish and it makes me cranky. All of the above was starting to take a toll on my mental health sooo I'm trying to cut it out of my diet. I have to say that the way I feel now (after changing my diet) as opposed to about a month ago is very, very different! (in a good way!)

Instead of toast and cereals for breakfast I have now switched to fruit smoothies. my favorite ingredients consists of berries, mangoes, bananas and kale (not together of course)
Lunch will be a chicken salad(heavier on the salad for once in my life) and a smoothie, and for dinner I just eat whatever my mother makes but I am still conscious of what it is I'm eating, if I can change it to be healthier, e.g. brown rice instead of white. etc etc

As well as changing my eating I have also decided to make more of an effort to exercise, Ive always gone on walks but in the past year I haven't put a whole lot of effort into them or gone more than about 6kms. There was once a time where I was obsessed with walking and running and would go 10km a day if not more, but knowing it was starting to get a bit extreme I stopped. That was about a year and a half ago and after looking at myself in the mirror for a while I decided I wanted this change. I wanted to prepare for a toned bikini body by september and that was just what I was going to do.

Its only been a bit over 2 weeks but I feel happier, can already see small changes in my figure, I sleep better than I used to, the list goes on! I cannot tell you how content I feel with my life after starting to make this change.

Something I am very willing to try is this 1 day juice cleanse from Nomad Nutrition. A 3 day cleanse is also optional, but you get 6 different juices in either classic, custom, or green, all come in a variety of flavors and all looking absolutely amazing. They are packed with the most nutritious ingredients and do not deprive you whatsoever. Their main aim is not weight loss but to cleanse your system from toxins. I have read and heard many raving reviews and am so eager to try it out for myself!
